Overview
Art has been a strong presence in nearly every aspect of Ruth's life. An Interior Design Major at the University of Cincinnati, she continued
her artistic pursuits while raising her two sons. This included graphic design, calligraphy, sign painting and eventually picture framing and managing several frame shops.. After eighteen years as a professional framing other artist's work, Ruth was encouraged to devote
full time to her own painting.

Having painted primarily in watercolor over the years, Ruth began using oils and most recently pastel in both figurative and landscape studies.

"My artistic journey is continually taking me in new directions. Each course of study brings new influence and inspiration to my work. I am
happiest painting purely for my own satisfaction and find it especially gratifying when a painting speaks to someone else in the same way that
it called to me to create it."

Ruth is an Associate Member of the Cincinnati Art Club and an Exhibiting Member and Board Member-at-large of the Queen City Art Club.
