After graduating from Edgecliff college witha degree in Art, Kay studied drawing and painting in Europe. The following year she was hired by Federated Dept. Stores, in Cincinnati, as a Graphic Designer.

She joined the Ohio Designer Craftsmen marketing program and produced original art for shops and galleries throughout the country. From that catalogue, she was chosen to create gifts representing Ohio for the Governor to present to foreign dignitaries around the world. Her work was purchased and sold by two galleries in Japan.

Her watercolors can be described as 'calligraphic' and uses design as her underlying element. Her specialty is wildlife; exotic animals and flowers.

Kay is a member of The Ohio Society of Nature Artists, The Ohio Watercolor Society, The Greater Cincinnati Watercolor Society and The Cincinnati Art Club, where she is currently serving on their Board as Exhibition Chair.

Kay is married to Don Worz, a business owner and has two grown sons.
